We are creating a beautiful SSSE book to offer to Swami for His birthday this November. Children, parents, and gurus are warmly invited to submit a one-page work of the heart: writing, art, reflections, stories, letters, and more.

Share Your Connection With Swami

This is our dear Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centenary year (100th birthday completion)! We are going to make a beautiful book to offer to Swami for His birthday this November and are asking all of you to submit writing and/or art for it.

Take some time to reflect on your connection with Swami and share it in a creative way. You will be able to see the book online afterwards as well.

Parents & Gurus, your submissions are also encouraged, as this is an offering to Swami from the entire SSSE wing and an opportunity to role model for our children. Please share something children can understand and will enjoy reading.

A Note from the Heart

Express your love as creatively as you would like, but please don’t use AI or ChatGPT. This is about YOUR connection with God, which is one-on-one and comes from the heart—not an electronic device. When you share fully from your heart, it is ALREADY PERFECT for God!

Please read the Submissions Guidelines BEFORE you start working on your offering.

Who Can Participate?

All SSSE children, parents, and gurus are invited to submit a “work of the HEART” for Swami’s Centenary SSSE book. (Parents, please help younger children understand and follow the guidelines.)

  • Children of all age groups
  • Parents supporting younger children
  • Gurus offering their own heartfelt contribution
  • Any language is welcome (please include an English translation)

What Can You Submit?

You can write a poem, draw a picture, share an experience, send a photo of something you create with a description, write a story, etc., AND it can be in any language of your choice (please provide an English translation though, so everyone can understand and enjoy). Here are some ideas to help get you started, but please feel free to choose your own theme:
  • Swami's life
  • Draw a greeting to Swami
  • Your favorite teaching of Swami’s
  • Swami as a friend or guide
  • Your connection to Swami or a letter to Swami
  • Reflections on your personal sadhana or seva activities  

Submissions Guidelines

All SSSE children, parents, and gurus are invited to submit a “work of the HEART” for Swami’s Centenary SSSE book.
(Parents, please help younger children with these.)

  • Original Work Only
Submissions must be original and created by the participant. This is your offering from the heart, so do not use AI, ChatGPT, any previously-printed material, anything copied directly from a website, or material that is not your own. Do not violate any copyrights. If someone helps you with any part of your submission, be sure to give credit to them.
  • Art Mediums Welcome

Art can be made with any medium of your choice: oil, acrylic, pencil, watercolor, marker, crayon, pastel, collage, crafts, or original digital art. Make sure pencil sketches are clearly visible (it is best to use a black pen so it transfers better). If your art is 3D, submit a photo of it.

  • Neat and Legible
Write stories, poems, etc. in your own handwriting, instead of typing. It’s more personal!
Make sure your submission is neat and the handwriting is legible. Remember, this is your offering to Swami for His birthday!
  • High-Resolution Files
Provide a high resolution scan or photo of your submission taken in good light. All images should be saved as JPGs, PNGs, or PDFs.
  • Printable Entries Only

Since this is going to be a book, we cannot accept music/video recordings or other non-printable entries.

Please name your file using the following format:

Title-FirstLastName-Group/Parent/Guru Accepted file formats: .jpg, .png, or .pdf

Please keep your submission to no more than one page. We want to make sure there is enough space for everyone to participate. We plan to use all submitted material, as long as it follows the above guidelines. If you have any questions, please email
